Welcome to Yoga Baby Cheshire!
Yoga is for everyone! It doesn’t matter what age you are, what size or shape, how stiff or unfit, you can start yoga anytime and, as you practice, your body and mind will slowly change. So whether you want toned tummy muscles, better concentration or just to learn to relax and let go, yoga is for you.
The yoga at Yogababy is very special. I teach Integral Yoga Hatha based on the teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda. His message is “Truth is one, paths are many”. He is revered for dedicating his life to serving humanity and bringing together people of all backgrounds and beliefs. His yoga teaches us to let go of the anger and fear that lead to depression and stress, and instead to focus our minds and bodies on leading a positive and useful life.
This loving and tolerant approach is ideal for working with children and babies as well as stressed out parents! It is particularly effective for children with special needs who face more physical and mental challenges in their lives than ost of us.
Asana of the Month

Tadasana (the mountain)
This pose appears simple but takes some mastering. The yogi must be grounded through her feet, legs strong and abdominal muscles firm. Shoulders are relaxed and shoulder blades "slide" down the back while the crown of the head is drawn up towards heaven and the chin drops a little. This pose held correctly is quite strong work for the body and will improve strength, balance and posture if practised often. It is a wonderful example of the balance between strength and stillness, like a mountain!
Remember to lie back and relax in Savasana (the corpse pose) after practising the mountain.
